The Faroese Law-Site is maintained by the Legal Service in the Ministry of Justice. The law department has the responsibility for the database and its contents.

The portal is the only legally binding source for Faroese legislative texts, including acts of the Faroese Parliament (Løgtingslógir), government regulations (kunngerðir), and similar directives.
