Tvøroyri Archives

Tvøroyri Archives, located at the harbour area in Tvøroyri, was established in 2018 and officially opened in July 2023. The archive preserves a large collection of materials that document the history of the villages around the Trongisvágsfjørður fjord.

Management:
Kári Jespersen, Head of the Archive, and Jens Pauli Nolsøe, Archivist.

Collections:
Minutes, photographic collections, and other documents that illustrate life and history in Tvøroyri.

Donations:
The archive regularly receives donations from both domestic and international sources, which help strengthen the shared heritage of the community.

Purpose:
To preserve and communicate the history of Tvøroyri and to make the materials publicly accessible.

The archive is open to the public, and enquiries or donations may be directed to the Head of the Archive.
