The Sports Centre at Stórá has a capacity of 1,600 spectators, including 324 seated places. The pitch measures 105 metres in length and 68 metres in width.
The facilities at Stórá, together with the large sports hall in Trongisvágur, are among the best in the Faroe Islands. Tvøroyri Municipality aims to further develop these facilities, increasing activity levels for children, young people, and adults within sport and physical activity.
A new artificial turf surface has been installed on the pitch at Stórá. It is of the type DOMO Vario Slide-S Pro and is 6 cm high. This turf is particularly environmentally friendly and uses an organic infill.
Tvøroyri Football Club (TB) is the home team at Stórá. TB has a long history and has played its home matches at the Stórá pitch since 2012, when the facility was brought into use. TB is an important part of sporting life in Tvøroyri Municipality and has experienced many memorable moments at the Stórá Sports Centre.
