Tvøroyrar Kommuna has expanded its official website with a new English-language version aimed specifically at newcomers who do not yet understand Faroese. The initiative is designed to make it easier for new residents to settle into life in the municipality by providing clear, practical information in English.

Rather than mirroring the Faroese website one-to-one, the English version focuses on topics most relevant to people moving to the area. Visitors can find information about living and working in Tvøroyri, public services, health and welfare, family and children, language and culture, leisure activities, local sports and cultural life, as well as guidance for starting a business and understanding key regulations.

The website is structured to give an accessible overview of everyday life in the municipality, including municipal services, schools, healthcare, cultural institutions, and recreational opportunities, helping newcomers navigate their new surroundings more easily.
